General information of STEVIA
Stevia is a plant belonging to the Compositae family, growing about 80cm in height, and native to the northwestern part of Paraguay in south America. Although there are more than 154 species in the genus stevia, only one kind of stevia offers the sweet stevia taste. We have been one of the Japan's leading producers of stevia as sweetner since 1970's, when stevia first came to the Japanese dinner table.
Puried products; Stevia leaves contain several kinds of steviol glycosides. From raw material leaves we isolate rebaudioside-A, the glycoside which gives the best sweet taste. We also line up 100% of stevia extract product.
