Acquisition of FSSC 22000 (Miyoshi Factory)
MARUZEN PHARMACEUTICALS has obtained certification for the international standard “FSSC 22000,” a food safety management system, at its Miyoshi Factory (Miyoshi City, Hiroshima Prefecture) in December 2025.
FSSC 22000 is a standard approved by the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) as one of its benchmark schemes. It defines the requirements necessary to establish a food safety management system aimed at providing consumers with safe food.
The Miyoshi Factory is a multi-purpose facility that combines various extraction and purification technologies to meet customers’ needs in both quantity and quality. Its large-scale extraction equipment enables the integrated processing of large volumes of natural raw materials.
Since obtaining ISO 9001 certification in 2003, we have continuously worked to ensure product safety and achieve a high level of quality assurance. We believe these ongoing efforts have led to our successful acquisition of FSSC 22000 certification.
